Where is Radlett?
Radlett is situated in the county of Hertfordshire, England,
United Kingdom. It is some 20 miles North West of London and is
connected by a good railway service to that city. Consequently
many of the residents commute into London for their work.
Radlett is also situated in an area surrounding London which was designated ‘Green Belt’ in order to limit the inevitable urban sprawl of new housing developments. It is for this reason that The Radlett Society is very conscious of its role in protecting the green belt land from being submerged under buildings with the inevitable loss of a more pleasant countryside environment that makes Radlett a pleasant place in which to live.
Radlett has many paths and a few natural
woods have been preserved too
Just to the North of the town the River Ver joins the River Colne which eventually flows into the River Thames at Brentford to the West of London. It is a pleasant 2 to 3 hour walk across the farm fields to the river valley despite the motorways M1 and M25 being quite nearby.
